A window regulator for lifting a vehicle window includes: a guide rail; the vernier is mounted on the guide rail in a sliding manner; the flange part is mounted at the bottom end of the guide rail, and the flange part is provided with a guide rail mounting part, an arm part extending from the guide rail mounting part and a mounting part extending from the arm part; and a motor operably connected to the vernier such that operation of the motor will cause the vernier to slide along the guide rail, the motor being mounted to a mounting portion wherein the motor is adjacent to a side of the guide rail between a bottom end of the guide rail and a top end of the guide rail when mounted to the mounting portion.
