The invention relates to a method for treating a flowing sand land in an alpine region. The method comprises the following steps that grids are arranged on the flowing sand land, seeds of herbaceous plants are sown at the boundaries of the grids, woody plants are transplanted in the centers of the grids, and the flowing sand land treatment area is formed. The herbaceous plants can be oat, elymus nutans and agropyron compressa. The woody plant can be at least one of rose willow, caragana microphylla, atriplex canescens, haloxylon ammodendron and hedyotis diffusa.
