本发明公开了一种兼顾考古出土的胶料彩绘文物加固与表面粘土清理的方法，首先通过机械工具清除胶料彩绘文物表面较厚且松动的粘土，然后将水性乳液以雾状均匀喷洒在胶料彩绘表面，并在其表面添加一层滤布作为隔离层，接着将含清洗剂的湿纸浆覆盖在隔离层上，外面用保鲜膜包裹防止溶剂过快挥发。待湿纸浆干燥后将其揭下，趁软化后粘土还处于潮湿状态时将其清理。本发明使用水性乳液对胶料彩绘进行加固，同时利用排盐纸浆和清洗剂清理粘土，对彩绘的破坏作用极小，可以最大程度保留底部彩绘原貌，对胶料彩绘文物保护起到较好的作用，极大提高考古出土胶料彩绘文物处理效果，选用的材料和方法都比较简单，符合现场处理和对文物的最小干预原则。
