The invention discloses a connector protection device of an underground diaphragm wall and a construction method of the connector protection device, and the connector protection device comprises an outer wrapping sleeve which is rotatably arranged outside a steel bar connector in a sleeving manner, and the outer wrapping sleeve is provided with an open end and a closed end which are opposite to each other; an elastic protruding edge used for blocking the portion between the open end and the steel bar connector is arranged in the open end. The plug connector and the outer wrapping sleeve are coaxially arranged, the plug connector is connected to the inner side of the closed end, external threads matched with the internal threads of the steel bar connector are formed on the outer portion of the plug connector, the plug connector is screwed to the steel bar connector, a first exhaust hole is formed in the plug connector in the axial direction of the plug connector, and a second exhaust hole is formed in the outer wrapping sleeve in the axial direction of the plug connector. A second exhaust hole aligned with the first exhaust hole is formed in the closed end; and the insertion rod is detachably inserted into the first exhaust hole and the second exhaust hole. The problems that an existing steel bar connector of the underground diaphragm wall is poor in protection effect and low in construction efficiency are solved.
