The invention provides an overhanging eave formwork in slip form process construction and a construction method of the overhanging eave formwork. The cornice formwork comprises a tripod, a formwork supporting beam, a formwork body and a fixed side formwork. Wherein the tripod is arranged on the outer ring of the silo in the circumferential direction of the silo, a plurality of supporting pipes are embedded in the top wall of the silo in the circumferential direction of the silo, and each supporting pipe is connected with the tripod through a connecting pipe; at least one circle of formwork supporting beams are arranged above the tripod, and all the formwork supporting beams are arranged in the circumferential direction of the silo. The fixed side molds are arranged along the outer edge of the tripod to form a circular structure in a surrounding manner; the formwork body is arranged in the circular structure, located above the formwork supporting beam and used for pouring concrete so that the cornice can be obtained through machining.
