The invention discloses a binder-free hard alloy material and a preparation method thereof.The preparation method comprises the following steps that tungsten carbide powder, yttrium oxide, cobalt powder, tantalum carbide and vanadium carbide are placed in a vibration tank together to be subjected to vibration treatment, and mixed powder is formed; adding into an absolute ethyl alcohol solution, and carrying out ultrasonic dispersion treatment; drying the ethanol solution dispersed with the mixed powder, and reducing in a hydrogen atmosphere to obtain uniformly dispersed mixed powder; and putting the mixed powder into ball milling equipment for ball milling, taking out the mixed powder, drying the mixed powder again, and sintering the mixed powder for the third time to obtain the binder-free hard alloy material finished product. The density and the comprehensive mechanical property of the material are effectively improved, and the hardness and the strength are high.
