The invention relates to a radiation protection door groove self-adaption folding type cover plate device which comprises a door body, a motor driving device, a lower rail, a ground groove, a bottom bearing, a triangular steel frame, a long cover plate, a hinge device and a short cover plate. The top point of the triangular steel frame is connected with the bottom bearing, the support is welded to one end of the long cover plate, the triangular steel frame rotates with the bottom bearing as the top point, the long cover plate is connected with the short cover plate, the short cover plate is connected with the bottom edge of one side of the door body, and the cover plates are self-adaptively contracted through the hinge and the bottom bearing. The radiation protection door solves the problem that rays leak from the bottom of a common radiation protection door, the radiation protection door is provided with the self-adaptive folding cover plate, extra intervention of personnel is not needed, and extra power is not needed. When the door is closed, the cover plate automatically slides and is folded along with the movement of the door body, and automatically extends in the ground groove to be flattened when the door is opened, and the upper surface of the cover plate is flush with the ground of the door opening of the detection room to facilitate access.
