The invention belongs to the field of shaft construction, and particularly relates to a cable leading well and a method for laying a cable in the cable leading well, the cable leading well comprises a transverse well, a cable duct bank is arranged on the side edge of the transverse well, and a cable support is arranged in the transverse well; the vertical shaft is arranged on one side of the transverse shaft, a manhole is formed in the joint of the vertical shaft and the transverse shaft, and the manhole is higher than the cable duct bank. Due to the fact that the manholes are formed between the transverse wells and the vertical wells, the manholes are higher than the cable duct banks in the transverse wells, the manholes can prevent accumulated water from entering the tunnel, and therefore electrical equipment in the tunnel is prevented from being affected with damp and damaged. The invention discloses a method for laying a cable in a cable leading-down well. The cable penetrates into a transverse well from a cable duct bank; a cable is erected on a cable support which is arranged in a step-type rising mode; the cable penetrates through the manhole to enter the vertical shaft, and then penetrates through the pipe hole in the tunnel top plate to enter the tunnel; and after the cable is laid, the manhole and the pipe hole in the tunnel top plate are blocked, so that electrical equipment in the tunnel is prevented from being affected with damp and damaged.
