The invention relates to a covering system (2) for floors, walls and/or ceilings, wherein the covering system (2) has: a visible side (20); a lower side opposite the visible side; at least one conduit element (6) is arranged between at least two of the cover elements such that the at least one conduit element is visible at least in sections on the visible side, the at least one conduit element being provided for conducting a physical quantity, a material or a signal, and a plurality of cover elements (4) which are connected to each other, and wherein the at least one conduit element (6) is arranged between the at least two cover elements such that the at least one conduit element is visible at least in sections on the visible side. Wherein at least one line element has an interface to a source or consumer of the physical quantity, material or signal.
