The high-strength and high-thermal-conductivity silicon nitride ceramic cutter provided by the invention is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 70 to 90 percent of alpha-Si3N4 powder, 0.5 to 1 percent of beta-Si3N4 seed crystal, 2 to 5 percent of rare earth oxide, 5 to 10 percent of diamond with a metal coating and the balance of sintering aid. The result of the embodiment shows that the bending strength of the high-strength and high-thermal-conductivity silicon nitride ceramic cutting tool exceeds 1100 MPa, the fracture toughness exceeds 11.5 MPa/m < 2 >, and the Vickers hardness exceeds 18 GPa.
