The invention relates to the technical field of steel structure supporting, in particular to a steel structure supporting system and an installation method.The steel structure supporting system comprises a horizontal steel structure beam body, a plurality of stand column combination units are installed at the bottom of the horizontal steel structure beam body at intervals in the span direction of the horizontal steel structure beam body, and the bottom of each stand column combination unit is pre-buried and fixed underground; when the horizontal steel structure beam body is subjected to turning wind load, relative displacement buffering movement exists between the horizontal steel structure beam body and each stand column combination unit, and a plurality of limiting and positioning mechanisms are installed on the horizontal steel structure beam body corresponding to the top of each stand column combination unit at intervals. According to the steel structure supporting system, a large-span beam body can be stably supported, wind loads can be effectively resisted after installation and construction, and when small direction-changing wind loads occur, the whole beam body structure can be stably fixed to all the stand column combination units so that the stability of the whole structure can be achieved.
