The sponge city road water storage and drainage structure comprises a road body and a greening area, a drainage ditch is arranged in the road body, a partition plate is arranged in the drainage ditch, the drainage ditch comprises a water storage area and a drainage area, drainage channels are arranged on the two sides of the road body, and grids are arranged at openings of the drainage channels. The end, away from the drainage channel, of the first communicating pipe is connected to the drainage area. Drainage wells are arranged on the two sides of the road body, standby pipelines are arranged on the inner walls of the drainage wells, one ends of the standby pipelines are connected to the drainage area, sliding plates are movably arranged in the drainage wells, the outer sides of the sliding plates abut against the inner walls of the drainage wells, limiting rings are arranged on one sides of the sliding plates, and the outer sides of the limiting rings abut against the inner walls of the drainage wells; and a buffer assembly is arranged in the drainage well. The method has the effect of effectively reducing the situation of road water accumulation caused by the fact that the water accumulation of the road and green areas on the two sides of the road cannot be timely collected and stored.
