The invention provides a construction method of a water body replacement type storage yard. The construction method comprises the steps that a water stop cofferdam is constructed; enclosure drainage construction: after the water stop cofferdam is closed, water in the enclosure range of the water stop cofferdam is drained, the pit body is exposed, and a dry construction condition is formed; construction of a storage yard: under a dry construction condition, carrying out storage yard construction on the pit body, including construction of a lower low-position terrace and a higher high-position terrace; wherein the low-position terrace is lower than the average water level of the outer side of the water stop cofferdam; the high-position terrace can be used for walking of the material piling and taking equipment, and the material piling and taking equipment can convey materials to the bin body or output the materials from the bin body. And construction of the silo body: the silo body is constructed on the low-position terrace.
