The invention discloses a biochar composite three-layer capillary barrier system suitable for a refuse landfill. According to the technical scheme, the biochar composite silt, the fine aggregate layer and the coarse aggregate layer are arranged from top to bottom. The capillary covering layer suitable for the refuse landfill has two main functions of reducing rainfall or external moisture entering the landfill and controlling release of landfill gas. The capillary blocking effect between the fine grain layer and the coarse grain layer of the capillary blocking system can prevent water in the upper soil body from permeating downwards within a certain matrix suction range, and meanwhile, due to the fact that the high water content at the capillary blocking interface can block a gas transmission channel, upward migration of gas generated below the covering layer under the pressure gradient can be blocked. In addition, methane-oxidizing bacteria in the covering layer have an emission reduction effect on landfill gas.
