The invention discloses a mounting mechanism and a glass curtain wall. The mounting mechanism comprises a mounting part which is used for being assembled on a supporting main body of the glass curtain wall; the clamping assembly is arranged on the mounting part, the clamping assembly is provided with a bottom plate and a movable plate, the distance between the bottom plate and the movable plate can be adjusted, and at least two clamping positions matched with the glass curtain wall unit are arranged between the bottom plate and the movable plate. According to the mounting mechanism, the glass curtain wall unit can be clamped and fixed through the clamping assembly, compared with a traditional punching mounting and fixing mode, the mounting mode is optimized, and the strength of the glass curtain wall unit and the overall quality and strength of a glass curtain wall can be improved. The installation mechanism can be arranged between the two adjacent glass curtain wall units and can also be arranged at the adjacent vertex angle positions of the four glass curtain wall units, and the application mode is flexible and changeable.
