BINDER FOR INJECTION MOLDING COMPOSITIONS
The invention relates to a binder for injection moulding compositions, said binder consisting of, in percentage by weight and in total 100%:-35% to 60% of a component (a) or a "polymer binder" consisting of polymers or a polymer mixture, each non-amphiphilic and having a weight average molar mass greater than or equal to 5,000 g/mol, and a component (b) or a "polymer binder" consisting of a mixture of polymers, each non-amphiphilic and having a weight average molar mass greater than or equal to 2,000 g/mol, each polymer having a weight average molar mass greater than or equal to 2,000 g/mol, each polymer having a weight average molar mass greater than or equal to 2,000 g/mol. -from 30% to 55% of a component (b) or "wax" consisting of polymers or polymer mixtures, each non-amphiphilic and having a weight average molar mass of less than 5,000 g/mol, and-less than 10% of an amphiphilic component (c) or "surfactant", and-less than 10% of other components (d), where, in weight percent based on the weight of the binder, the weight of the component (b) or "wax" is less than 10%. The polymer binder comprises from 2% to 15% of a styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene copolymer or "SEBS", the weight content of styrene in the SEBS being greater than 15%, in weight percent based on the weight of the SEBS, and the weight average molar mass of the SEBS being greater than 100,000 g/mol.
