The drainage monitoring system comprises building virus monitoring terminal equipment connected with a drainage port of a building, sewage plant virus monitoring terminal equipment connected with a water inlet of a sewage plant, and a control center. The control center comprises a server and a communication module; the server is loaded with control software for monitoring the building virus monitoring terminal equipment and the sewage plant virus monitoring terminal equipment based on an electronic map platform; the communication module is used for realizing communication among the building virus monitoring terminal equipment, the sewage plant virus monitoring terminal equipment and the control center; and the control center is used for controlling the states of the virus monitoring terminal equipment and the sewage plant virus monitoring terminal equipment to be opened or closed. According to the technical scheme provided by the invention, the information of the point location where the virus is located can be quickly found under the condition of less consumption.
