The invention relates to the technical field of photovoltaic buildings, in particular to a photovoltaic roof system which comprises a supporting frame, and the upper end of the supporting frame is provided with a photovoltaic assembly through an installation piece. The photovoltaic module comprises photovoltaic panels distributed in a rectangular array, first connecting pieces located between two groups of photovoltaic panels which are adjacent left and right, second connecting pieces located between two groups of photovoltaic panels which are adjacent front and back, and limiting fixing pieces located at corners of the photovoltaic panels. The photovoltaic module is mounted at the upper end of the supporting frame through the mounting piece, so that the photovoltaic module and the supporting frame are convenient to mount and dismount, and the photovoltaic module is supported through the supporting frame; the photovoltaic panels of the photovoltaic assembly are spliced through the first connecting pieces, the second connecting pieces and the limiting fixing pieces, so that the photovoltaic assembly is convenient to disassemble quickly, the sealing and waterproof effects can be achieved, gaps between the photovoltaic panels are filled, and rainwater leakage is avoided.
