The opening and closing device comprises a push plate; the pushing part is arranged on the pushing plate; the power component is used for driving the push plate; wherein the power component comprises a driving assembly and a tooth-missing gear, a plurality of tooth-shaped parts are arranged on the tooth-missing gear, and racks meshed with the tooth-shaped parts are arranged on the push plate; the driving assembly drives the tooth-missing gear to rotate, so that the tooth-shaped part and the rack form an engaged or disengaged state, and then the power component performs intermittent transmission on the push plate; and an elastic unit is arranged between the push plate and the pushing part, when the tooth-shaped part and the rack are in a meshed state, the push plate moves forwards in the direction of the household appliance door body relative to the pushing part, and pushing force overcoming the closing connection force of the household appliance door body is formed through deformation of the elastic unit.
