The invention discloses a method for prefabricating a small box girder by filling sand into an inner mold. The method comprises the following steps: step 1, prefabricating a pedestal; 2, binding the floor and side plate reinforcing steel bars; thirdly, side molds and an inner mold are installed; 4, adjusting the height of the inner mold and filling sand; 5, manufacturing a concrete box girder; sixthly, formwork removal and concrete curing are conducted. Sand is filled in the inner mold to serve as a balance weight to prevent the inner mold from floating upwards; sand in the inner mold plays a supporting role at the same time, and supporting structures in the inner mold are reduced, so that the structure is simple and high in reliability; a supporting and fixing component in a traditional formwork is omitted, and the formwork can be disassembled after sand is discharged, so that the formwork is convenient to assemble and disassemble; steel use is reduced; no hinge or other mechanical structures exist, the structure is simple, repairing is convenient, and the turnover utilization rate is high.
