The invention discloses a fabricated open caisson and a construction method thereof. The fabricated open caisson comprises a caisson body, a locking opening structure arranged at the upper end of the caisson body and a steel-encased blade foot ring arranged at the lower end of the caisson body. The well body comprises a standard shaft and/or a special shaft used for arranging a communication channel; a plurality of preset connecting pieces are arranged on the inner wall of the standard shaft and/or the special shaft at intervals and used for being connected with the secondary lining structure. The device has multiple functions and is wide in application range; the construction efficiency is high, and the overall anti-floating stability is good; manual underwater operation can be avoided, and the construction safety is improved; according to the ground open caisson structure and the construction method thereof, rapid communication construction of the shield tunnel and the mechanically-built open caisson can be successfully achieved, and the construction efficiency and safety are improved.
