The invention discloses a sponge city waterlogging prevention water storage system which comprises a city sewer and a drainage ditch and further comprises a water storage tank arranged underground, a water collecting groove which is concave inwards is formed in the bottom of the drainage ditch, a water outlet pipe is arranged at the bottom of the water collecting groove, and the water outlet pipe is connected with the top of the water storage tank through a water guide pipe. The upper side of the water collecting tank pipe is connected with an urban sewer through a communicating pipe, and an automatic floating valve for opening and closing the water outlet pipe is arranged in the water collecting tank; an adjusting valve is arranged on the communicating pipe; a water level detection mechanism for detecting the water level in the urban sewer is arranged in the urban sewer; a delivery pump is arranged at the bottom of an inner cavity of the water storage tank, and the delivery end of the delivery pump is connected with a drainage pipe which penetrates out of the water storage tank and is connected with an urban sewer. Water drainage is automatically adjusted according to the rainfall, so that the effects of water storage and waterlogging prevention are achieved.
