The invention discloses a prefabricated bay window component and an installation method, the prefabricated bay window component comprises an upper bay plate, one end of the upper bay plate is provided with a first vertical plate extending downwards, and the first vertical plate is provided with a first embedded part used for being connected with the upper portion of a floor; a second vertical plate extending upwards is arranged at one end of the lower floating plate, and a second embedded part used for being connected with the lower portion of the floor is installed on the second vertical plate; and two ends of the transverse plate are respectively connected with the first vertical plate and the second vertical plate. By means of the prefabricated bay window component, the bay window can be prefabricated in a factory while wall concrete is poured, finally the prefabricated bay window component is installed on the floor, and compared with a cast-in-place reinforced concrete bay window, the construction period is greatly shortened; the prefabricated bay window component is only composed of the upper bay plate, the lower bay plate and the transverse plate, and is simple in structure and easy to machine; the prefabricated bay window component is provided with the first embedded part and the second embedded part to be connected with the floor slab, and the stability of connection between the prefabricated bay window component and the floor slab is greatly improved.
