The invention relates to the technical field of buildings, and provides a building stress steel structure, a modular building and a construction method.The building stress steel structure comprises a plurality of steel structure modules, a plurality of base plates and a plurality of steel anchor rod pieces; the steel structure module comprises main stand columns, main beams and frame connecting boxes, and the frame connecting boxes are arranged at the corners of the steel structure module. The base plates are clamped at the corners of the multiple adjacent steel structure modules, and holes allowing the steel anchor rod pieces to penetrate through are formed in the base plates; the steel anchor rod piece penetrates through the main stand column and the two frame connecting boxes which are internally communicated with each other and is used for connecting the main stand column, the two frame connecting boxes together. The steel anchor rod piece is at least provided with two sets of tensioning pieces which are arranged on the opposite side faces of the upper and lower adjacent base plates in a blocking mode. According to the modular building, large horizontal loads can be transmitted between the adjacent steel structure modules, the final height of the whole building can exceed 50 m, and compared with a traditional building covering technology, the modular building is more energy-saving and environmentally friendly.
