The invention discloses a hinge assembly with multiple groove bodies and a household appliance with the hinge assembly, the hinge assembly comprises two shaft bodies located on a first hinge piece, two groove bodies located on a sliding piece, a limiting protrusion located on a second hinge piece and a rotating assembly located between the sliding piece and the second hinge piece, one shaft body comprises a sliding groove, and the other shaft body comprises a sliding groove. When the hinge assembly is in the opening process, the limiting protrusion is limited in the sliding groove, the center axis of the shaft body in the rotating process does not coincide with the center axis of the rotating assembly in the rotating process, and the other shaft body extends into the other groove body and is located on the side, close to the sliding piece, of the second hinge piece. The second hinge piece and the sliding piece move relative to the first hinge piece together until the shaft body is limited in the groove body, and then the rotating assembly drives the second hinge piece to move relative to the sliding piece.
