A method for forming a multi-layer stepped large space structure with a triangular cantilever truss comprises the steps that firstly, a vertical supporting system of a large-span stepped space is formed by the triangular cantilever truss, a floor frame column and a shear wall at the high position and the low position of the space respectively; secondly, a large-span stepped space is formed through the beam-slab system connected in a lap joint mode; then, interlayers are formed in the high position and the low position through a cavity and a hanging structure of the triangular cantilever truss correspondingly so as to meet the auxiliary function requirement; and finally, through ultimate bearing capacity calculation and normal use ultimate state calculation, the comfort level is fully considered while the structural safety is guaranteed. According to the invention, through overhanging at the high position of the structure, a multi-layer through-height column-free and stepped open space is realized, so that the requirements of main ornamental buildings are met; meanwhile, an interlayer is formed by the lower chord of the triangular cantilever truss and an auxiliary hanging structure, so that the auxiliary function requirements of ventilation, equipment rooms and the like are met.
