The invention provides a cleaning system and method for a sewage hoisting shaft, the cleaning system comprises a cleaning device and a monitoring assembly, the cleaning device is installed on a supporting frame arranged in the sewage hoisting shaft through a fastener, and the cleaning device is characterized in that one end of a guide pipe is fixedly connected with a spraying part through a rotating assembly; the end, close to the rotating assembly, of the middle section of the guide pipe is a corrugated pipe, clamping rings are arranged at the two ends of the corrugated pipe, and an electric telescopic rod is fixedly arranged between the two clamping rings. One end of the backflow pipeline communicates with a water outlet pipe of a submersible sewage pump in the hoisting shaft, and the other end of the backflow pipeline communicates with the end, away from the spraying piece, of the guide pipe; and the spray head is arranged on the nozzle, and the water outlet end of the spray head faces the well wall of the hoisting well. The cleaning efficiency is improved, and the working intensity of workers is reduced; the cleanliness of the well wall of the sewage lifting well can be continuously guaranteed, then the adjusting volume of the sewage lifting well is guaranteed, and the operation stability of the sewage lifting pump is guaranteed.
