The invention discloses a building construction elevator shaft protection structure and a construction method thereof.The protection structure comprises a protection door used for being connected to an elevator shaft door in a clamped mode and a supporting base connected with the protection door and used for being connected into an elevator shaft in a clamped mode; the supporting base comprises a fixed frame connected to the protective door, a rotating frame connected to the side, away from the protective door, of the fixed frame in a turnover mode, and a locking assembly used for locking turnover of the rotating frame in the state that the rotating frame is turned to be flush with the fixed frame. Clamping pieces used for being connected to the inner wall of an elevator shaft in a clamped mode are arranged on the periphery of the rotating frame, lifting lugs used for being connected with lifting ropes in a lifting mode are formed on the top of the fixed frame and the top of the rotating frame, and the turnover efficiency is improved.
