The invention discloses a flexible protection device for road traffic design, which comprises a protection frame, a fixing mechanism arranged on the protection frame, a rotating sleeve arranged on the protection frame, an air guide pipe fixedly connected to the top end of the rotating sleeve, a sealing mechanism arranged in the air guide pipe, a high-pressure air storage tank connected to the air guide pipe, and a rotating rod arranged in the rotating sleeve. A first anti-collision mechanism and a second anti-collision mechanism are connected to the rotating sleeve, a second bevel gear is connected to the rotating rod, the second bevel gear is meshed with a first bevel gear, and a first rotating shaft is arranged in the first bevel gear. When the hollow half barrel rotates to a certain position, gas in the high-pressure gas storage tank can be instantly injected into the expansion gas bag, the expansion gas bag pops up to better relieve collision of the vehicle, and the probability that the vehicle is damaged and the probability that people are injured are further reduced.
