The invention relates to the technical field of building materials, and discloses a method for enhancing color development of a ceramic tile, the ceramic tile and application of the ceramic tile. The method comprises the following steps: (1) carrying out ball milling or grinding on green body layer powder to prepare ceramic powder; (2) the ceramic powder is subjected to material distribution and compression molding, and a green body layer is prepared; (3) carrying out ink-jet printing of black ink on the green body layer to prepare a black ink-jet layer; and (4) firstly applying a layer of white cover glaze on the black ink jet layer, then printing a yellow stripe pattern, applying transparent glaze, and firing to obtain the ceramic tile. The white cover glaze is prepared from the following chemical components in percentage by mass: 50 to 65 percent of SiO2, 20 to 30 percent of Al2O3, 0.1 to 0.5 percent of Fe2O3, 0.05 to 0.2 percent of TiO2, 0.1 to 0.4 percent of CaO, 0.5 to 1.2 percent of MgO, 1 to 3 percent of K2O, 0.5 to 1 percent of Na2O, 1 to 3 percent of SnO2, 5 to 8 percent of ZrSiO4 and 5 to 6 percent of ignition loss. The problems of white line on the side surface of the ceramic tile and high cost are solved. The whiteness of the glaze surface is enhanced, the color development of a yellow fringe pattern is facilitated, and the glaze surface is smoother and flatter.
