The invention discloses a method for connecting a horizontal rod steel pipe and a sleeve punching type fastener pin column of a ring lock scaffold, which comprises the following steps of: forming a pin column hole in a preset position of a sleeve type fastener, and forming a pre-punched hole in a corresponding position of a horizontal rod; the sleeve type fastener and the horizontal rod are clamped and positioned respectively, so that the axes of the sleeve type fastener and the horizontal rod are collinear; the pin column hole and the pre-punched hole are positioned, so that the axes of the pin column hole and the pre-punched hole are coplanar; and according to the first distance and the second distance from the center of the connecting station to the axis of the pin column hole and the axis of the pre-punched hole, the end of the horizontal rod is correspondingly inserted into the sleeve type fastener, and riveting is conducted through the pin column. The pin column is used for riveting the horizontal rod and the sleeve type fastener, so that the welding cost can be avoided, the galvanized steel sleeve and the galvanized horizontal rod can be directly used for direct connection, the procedures of acid pickling and galvanizing are not needed, the same structural strength of welding can be achieved, riveting can be conducted in an automatic mode, and the riveting efficiency is improved.
