The invention discloses a punching shear type connecting fastener for a horizontal rod sleeve of a ring lock scaffold, which comprises a main body, the main body is tubular, a plate inserting groove and a locking plate hole are arranged on the main body, the plate inserting groove is positioned at one end of the main body, the other end of the main body is connected with the end part of a horizontal rod in an inserting manner, a connecting plate is connected with the plate inserting groove in an inserting manner, and the locking plate hole is positioned in the connecting plate. The locking plate hole is formed in the side wall of the main body, the locking plate hole and the disc inserting groove are in the normal direction, the locking plate hole penetrates through the main body, and a pin plate is connected with the locking plate hole in an inserted mode. The tubular body is used as a fastener, the disc inserting groove and the locking plate hole are formed in the body, the disc inserting groove is located in the end of the body, is an open groove and is used for being connected with a connecting disc in an inserted mode, and the locking plate hole is located in the normal direction of the disc inserting groove, penetrates through the body and is used for being connected with a pin piece in an inserted mode to complete fixing. By adopting the tubular main body, the material processing cost can be saved by about one third compared with that of a cast steel connecting piece, and each horizontal rod saves about 2.5 yuan on average, so that the effects of saving the production cost and reducing the self weight of the scaffold are achieved.
