The invention discloses a batten hanging method for a fabricated building outer wall and a robot. The batten hanging robot for the fabricated building outer wall is mainly composed of a ground rail, a robot body, a clamp and a control system. A worker lifts battens to a bottom plate of a room of each floor, according to reality, the worker moves the batten hanging robot for the fabricated building outer wall to the side close to the wall, the robot is operated to grab the battens one by one, the battens are carried to the designated position through an operation handle, the angle is adjusted, and then the battens are hung on the batten hanging robot. Finally, the battens are fixed to a frame of the fabricated building through bolts by workers. Compared with a traditional operation mode, flexible hoisting is achieved, construction operation can be conducted on all floors at the same time, time is greatly saved, the labor intensity of workers is relieved, efficiency is improved, and the flexible hoisting device is particularly suitable for hanging operation of external wall panels of fabricated buildings and has novelty and creativity.
