The invention relates to dry-mixed plastering mortar and a preparation method thereof.The dry-mixed plastering mortar is prepared from, by weight, 90-130 parts of artificial sand, 13-18 parts of iron tailings, 3-4 parts of ordinary Portland cement, 1-2 parts of a water reducing agent, 5-7 parts of volcanic ash cement, 2-3 parts of a water-retaining agent and 10-20 parts of wood fibers.The preparation method comprises the steps that the artificial sand and the iron tailings are smashed and ground to obtain a first mixture; uniformly mixing ordinary Portland cement, volcanic ash cement, a water reducing agent and a water-retaining agent, adding the mixture into the mixture I, stirring to obtain a mixture II, adding wood fibers into the mixture II, continuously stirring for 10-30 minutes to obtain a mixture III, and grinding and drying to obtain a dry-mixed plastering mortar finished product.
