The invention discloses a sinking type greenbelt system capable of automatically adjusting the drainage speed. The sinking type greenbelt system comprises a vertical shaft arranged at the circle center of a long-strip-shaped pit, and a planting soil layer, a medium sand filtering layer, water-permeable geotechnical cloth and a gravel layer which are arranged in the pit from top to bottom in sequence. A permeable purification water pipe which transversely extends is arranged in the gravel layer; a cover plate is arranged at the upper end of the vertical shaft, and a plurality of water inlet holes are formed in the cover plate; the sunken green land has the advantages that when rainwater is much, redundant rainwater can be drained in time through the sunken green land; and when the rainwater is little, the rainwater can be slowly released or stopped being released.
