The invention provides a vehicle door opening and closing operation device capable of saving space based on miniaturization. The cover swing mechanism (20) has: a link unit (30) that swingably supports the cover member (31) so as to be movable between a closed position and an open position; and a swinging unit (70) which is provided with a cam member (72) that is rotated by a motor (71), and which moves the cover member (31) by pushing a cam follower (58) of the link unit (30) by means of a cam protrusion (88) provided on the cam member (72) and swinging the link unit (30), at least a part of the cam follower (58) overlapping the cam member (72) in a front view.

The invention provides a vehicle door opening and closing operation device capable of saving space based on miniaturization. The cover swing mechanism (20) has: a link unit (30) that swingably supports the cover member (31) so as to be movable between a closed position and an open position; and a swinging unit (70) which is provided with a cam member (72) that is rotated by a motor (71), and which moves the cover member (31) by pushing a cam follower (58) of the link unit (30) by means of a cam protrusion (88) provided on the cam member (72) and swinging the link unit (30), at least a part of the cam follower (58) overlapping the cam member (72) in a front view.
