The invention relates to a smart city road marking system and a working method thereof. A smart city road marking system comprises a bottom plate, a plurality of rolling wheels, a connecting shaft, a feeding device, a marking box, a conveying device, a control system and a control panel. The conveying device comprises a conveying pipeline, a first auger and a linkage device. The linkage device comprises a driving belt pulley, a driven belt pulley, a first belt and a communication port. The connecting shaft is sleeved with the driving belt wheel. And the driven belt pulley is sleeved on a rotating shaft of the first auger. And the communication port is arranged on the bottom plate. The first belt is arranged on the driving belt wheel and the driven belt wheel in a sleeving mode and penetrates through the communicating opening. The control panel is arranged on the top of the bottom plate. And the control system is connected with the feeding device, the conveying device and the control panel. The first auger and the roller are linked through the linkage device, so that the technical problems of how to make the paint thickness of road marking uniform and how to improve the marking quality of the marking vehicle are solved.
