The invention discloses a hollow brick formula taking coal gangue as a raw material and a production process. The hollow brick formula comprises the following components: coal gangue, fly ash, straw powder, shale, steel slag, an adhesive, an emulsifier, graphene and water. Modified graphene is introduced into the formula, chitosan modified graphene oxide with positive charges and talcum powder of a layered structure are subjected to electrostatic self-assembly through electrostatic interaction to form a micro-nano hybrid structure, and the micro-nano hybrid structure is dispersed into a green brick, so that the green brick is uniformly shrunk in the roasting process, and deformation of the green brick after firing is reduced; the integrity of the holes can be kept, the heat preservation performance of the hollow brick is improved, and the mechanical property of the hollow brick is improved through the evenly-dispersed modified graphene nanostructure.
