The invention provides an intelligent lock with a password input area protection mechanism, which comprises a lock body, a protection cover and a driving mechanism, and a password input area is mounted on the lock body; the two protective covers are arranged on the two sides of the password input area, and the sides, in the vertical direction, of the protective covers are hinged to the lock body. The driving mechanism comprises a power piece and two control assemblies; the control assemblies are in one-to-one correspondence with the protective covers, and the power pieces drive the protective covers to rotate through the control assemblies. According to the invention, when door opening operation needs to be carried out through the password input area, the protective covers are opened, so that the two protective covers stand on the left side and the right side of the password input area, and unlocking and door opening can be carried out through the password input area; and meanwhile, through the design of the hinged door, the two protective covers can shield the left side and the right side of the password input area, when the two protective covers are closed, the password input area can be shielded, and the protection effect is achieved.
