The novel energy consumption enhanced self-resetting shear damper comprises a left side connecting plate and a right side connecting plate on the two sides, the left side connecting plate and the right side connecting plate are oppositely arranged, two friction plates are arranged between the left side connecting plate and the right side connecting plate, and a rotating plate is arranged between the friction plates; disc spring devices are arranged on the outer sides of the friction plates respectively, and the two disc spring devices are connected with the left side connecting plate and the right side connecting plate in a crossed mode respectively. The damper has the advantages of being high in energy dissipation efficiency, small in residual deformation after an earthquake and convenient to replace, and can be rapidly replaced after the earthquake so as to achieve the purpose of recovering the using function of the structure.
