The invention relates to a small building article built by using an out-of-service fan blade and a building method thereof, and the building method comprises the following steps: blade cutting: cutting the out-of-service fan blade into plates for building the small building article; processing the blade, processing and/or repairing the plate, and sealing and wrapping the edge of the plate; connecting treatment, wherein connecting keys are installed on the plates; base arrangement: arranging a base according to the placement form of the blade; and constructing and assembling, namely assembling the treated components into small building products. Compared with the prior art, the method has the advantages that the retired fan blades are effectively recycled, the retired fan blades are treated mainly through physical methods such as cutting, environmental pollution is avoided as much as possible, and carbon emission is reduced as much as possible; in addition, the retired fan blade is used as a small building article, and the curved surface modeling artistic value of the retired fan blade can be utilized without excessive machining.
