The embodiment of the invention provides an electrically-driven tamping device, a tamping wagon and a tamping method thereof, the electrically-driven tamping device comprises a supporting box body and at least one set of pickaxe arm assembly, each set of pickaxe arm assembly comprises a first pickaxe arm and a second pickaxe arm, and the two sides of the supporting box body are hinged to the middle of the first pickaxe arm and the middle of the second pickaxe arm correspondingly; a first electromagnetic shock excitation assembly is further arranged between the supporting box body and the first pickaxe arm. A second electromagnetic shock excitation assembly is further arranged between the supporting box body and the second pickaxe arm. Opening and closing driving assemblies are hinged between the middle of the supporting box body and the top of the first pickaxe arm and between the middle of the supporting box body and the top of the second pickaxe arm. A first tamping pickaxe is connected below the first pickaxe arm, a second tamping pickaxe is connected below the second pickaxe arm, and the first tamping pickaxe and the second tamping pickaxe execute tamping operation from the two sides of a sleeper respectively; the device has the advantages of being simple in structure, convenient to operate and capable of achieving amplitude control and vibration frequency control. The method is suitable for the technical field of railway line maintenance.
