The invention discloses a construction method for cutting mass concrete. A construction device comprises a water drill (2), a wire saw machine (3) of a diamond wire saw, a diamond string bead (4) and an electric pick (12). Firstly, four vertical deep grooves distributed in a square shape are formed in a mass concrete pier through a water drill (2) and a wire saw, then the wire saw is used for obliquely cutting and removing most of concrete (11) in the middle of the four deep grooves from two directions, and finally, an electric pick (12) is used for smashing and removing the remaining concrete (11). Compared with an electric pick hole digging scheme, the deep hole digging scheme is small in construction amount, cost is saved, and the construction period is shortened.
