The invention discloses a laser cladding copper-based self-lubricating material as well as a preparation method and application thereof, a precursor is combined with a laser cladding process, and a copper-based self-lubricating cladding layer with a good structure is prepared on the surface of a Q235 steel plate, so that the copper-based self-lubricating cladding layer exerts excellent antifriction, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant properties during service. The defects that a traditional copper-based material is prone to refraction, light reflection, high in heat dissipation performance and the like under laser can be overcome, the defects of cladding layer composition segregation, cracks, air holes, inclusions, oxides and the like are overcome, and the method has the advantages of being high in energy density, compact in cladding layer structure, high in strength and hardness, good in copper/steel interface metallurgical bonding performance, easy to achieve automation and the like. The invention provides a feasible preparation method for large-scale popularization of the material in the field of turnout slide plates.
