The invention relates to a socket pile and a pile sinking method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of foundation construction. The socket pile comprises a plurality of sections of sleeves and a one-way locking assembly. The multiple sections of sleeves are sequentially arranged in a sleeving mode from inside to outside, in every two adjacent sections of sleeves, the sleeve located on the outer layer can be lifted relative to the sleeve located on the inner layer in the axial direction, and a pile tip is formed at the bottom end of the sleeve located on the innermost layer; the one-way locking assembly is connected between every two adjacent sleeves and used for limiting the falling movement of the outer sleeve relative to the inner sleeve in the axial direction. The pile length of the socket pile can be stretched according to needs so as to increase the pile sinking depth, and the socket pile can be suitable for the working condition that the pile length and the pile sinking depth cannot be determined in advance.
