The invention discloses a method and a device for maintaining and reinforcing a bridge deck of a steel box girder cable-stayed bridge, and the method comprises the following steps: based on a steel box girder bridge of which the bridge deck pavement is chiseled away, mounting an in-box stiffening truss rod piece to locally reinforce a steel box girder; and a counter-force device and an opposite jacking supporting rod are installed according to the pre-set position, opposite jacking force is applied to the locally-reinforced steel box girder, and the stress level of the steel box girder bridge deck top plate unit is adjusted so that the steel box girder bridge deck top plate unit can reach the zero stress state. According to the steel box girder cable-stayed bridge deck slab maintaining and reinforcing method and device, bolt connection between in-service bridge steel box girder bridge deck top plate sections is transformed into welding connection, the problem of water seepage of top plate joint seams of an original structure and the influence of connecting bolts on steel bridge deck pavement are thoroughly solved, and the durability of a steel box girder is improved. Meanwhile, in the implementation process, a bridge deck counter-force device is adopted, and it is ensured that the stress states of the steel beam top plate units are basically kept consistent before and after replacement.
