The cable-stayed bridge tower area steel plate beam and bridge deck slab installation method comprises steps that 1, a sliding rail is installed on a construction support of a cable-stayed bridge tower area, and the sliding rail is used for guiding sliding of steel beam rod pieces; 2, one steel beam rod piece is hoisted to a first area on the sliding rail, and the steel beam rod piece in the first area is dragged out of the first area through a dragging device; 3, the next steel beam rod piece is hoisted to the first area of the sliding rail, and the adjacent steel beam rod pieces are connected with each other; 4, the mutually connected steel beam rod pieces are dragged out of the first area by using a dragging device, and the bridge deck slab is hoisted to be mounted between the adjacent steel beam rod pieces; and 5, the step 3 and the step 4 are repeated till all the steel beam rod pieces and the bridge deck slabs are installed to the preset positions. Alternate installation of the steel beam rod piece and the bridge deck slab is achieved, and construction cost is reduced.
