The variable-parameter friction damper comprises a rotating energy consumption unit. The rotating energy consumption unit comprises a first rotating arm, a second rotating arm, a friction plate and a pressure adjusting assembly. The first rotating arm is provided with a first rotating part and a second rotating part, the second rotating arm is provided with a third rotating part and a fourth rotating part, the first rotating part and the third rotating part are rotationally matched around a first axis, and the friction plate is extruded between the first rotating part and the third rotating part; the pressure adjusting assembly is used for adjusting the distance between the first rotating part and the third rotating part, and the second rotating part and the fourth rotating part are pivoted to the building base body. According to the variable-parameter friction damper, under the conditions that disasters of different types and different levels are encountered and different deformation levels are generated, the bearing capacity and the energy dissipation performance can be adjusted according to the levels of external excitation encountered by a building base body, and adaptability is high.
