The invention discloses tensioning equipment for a fork lug type steel strand. The tensioning equipment comprises a first mounting piece, a second mounting piece and an adjusting device, the first mounting piece and the second mounting piece are fixedly connected with two parts of the fork lug type steel strand, the distance of which is to be adjusted; the adjusting device comprises an adjusting rope and a jack; the jack is arranged at one end of the first mounting piece; the first end of the adjusting rope is connected to the other end of the first mounting part, the adjusting rope bypasses the second mounting part, and the second end of the adjusting rope penetrates through the first mounting part and is connected to the jack; the jack is used for pulling the second end of the adjusting rope away from the first installation piece so as to drive the first installation piece to be close to the second installation piece. According to the tensioning equipment, the two parts with the adjustable distance in the fork lug type steel strand can be close to each other only by pulling the steering adjusting rope through one jack, a user can conveniently adjust the fork lug type steel strand to be tensioned, the pretension force of the steel strand is improved, and the tensioning equipment is simple in structure and convenient to use by the user. The invention further discloses a tensioning method of the fork lug type steel strand.
