The invention discloses a method for reinforcing a building with a masonry structure by adopting light aggregate concrete. The method comprises the following steps of: 1, removing the surface layer of a wall body of the building with the masonry structure; 2, watering and wetting the cleaned wall body; 3, spraying cement paste on the surface of the wet wall body; fourthly, light aggregate concrete is sprayed on the surface of the cement paste wall; fifthly, the surface of the light aggregate concrete wall is subjected to light receiving through cement mortar; and sixthly, the wall is subjected to water spraying maintenance, and the masonry structure house reinforced through the light aggregate concrete is obtained. According to the method, a layer of cement paste is sprayed, then the light aggregate concrete is sprayed, the cement paste serves as a base material, the bonding effect of the light aggregate concrete and the wall is enhanced, the reinforcing effect is improved, the to-be-reinforced building of the masonry structure is reinforced, and the light aggregate concrete has the advantages of being light in self weight, good in heat preservation and heat insulation performance and good in fire resistance; the structural strength, shock resistance and thermal performance of the house are improved, the service life of the house is prolonged, and loss of energy in the house is reduced.
